Patrick Krassén skriver idag om ”den goda kraften i förmögenheter” och betonar att filantropi förutsätter medel att donera. Men förmögenheter ger inte bara upphov till goda konsekvenser för forskning och kultur; Jenny Nykvist visar, i en ny artikel i Scandinavian Journal of Economics, att förmögenheter också stimulerar entreprenörskap:

”A positive relationship between wealth and entrepreneurship is found, which supports the liquidity constraints hypothesis. Alternative methods attempting to handle the endogeneity problem and distinguish between absolute decreasing risk aversion and liquidity constraints give further support to the hypothesis. The paper suggests that there exist liquidity constraints in Sweden, which are possibly more extensive than in the United States.”

Detta är i sin tur intressant eftersom forskning visar att entreprenörskap i sin tur är positivt relaterat till bl.a. skapandet av nya jobb.*
